Collection notice
How your entry is handled
You can complete the Quest without entering the prize draw. If you enter, Eden of the East Foundation collects only the information needed to administer the draw.
What we collect
The adult entrant’s name and email address, 21 selected answers, private score, submission time, entry reference and short-lived technical security information. We do not ask for age, phone number, home address or precise location when you enter.
Why we collect it
To validate and score the entry, enforce the entry limit, email your entry receipt and answer record, conduct and audit the prize draw, contact provisional winners, arrange prize delivery, resolve problems and protect the service from misuse.
Your entry receipt
After submission, the public service will email your entry reference, score, each question and your submitted answer. The receipt does not reveal the correct answers. This transactional receipt is part of the Quest entry and is not a newsletter subscription.
Children and families
If a child takes part, a parent or guardian must be the formal entrant and provide their own name and email address. Do not enter a child’s name or direct contact information.
If you are selected
We will ask for only the eligibility and delivery details needed to confirm and provide the prize. Winners are contacted privately. We will publish a winner’s name only after receiving that winner’s permission.
Who can access it
Access is limited to authorised Foundation personnel and approved service providers who need it to operate the promotion. Prize contributors do not receive the entry list or use entry information for marketing. A winner’s delivery details may be shared only where necessary to provide that winner’s prize.
Marketing is separate
Entering the prize draw does not subscribe you to marketing. Any newsletter choice is separate, optional and cannot affect entry or the chance of winning.
How long information is kept
Technical security records are kept for 30 days. Non-winner operational personal details are removed 90 days after the draw/redraw, prize fulfilment and outstanding complaint or dispute work is finalised. Required competition records and necessary winner contact/fulfilment records are kept for 3 years after finalisation. A recorded legal or dispute hold may delay deletion of affected records. Finalisation is reviewed 30 days after the initial draw and recorded once prize delivery, redraws and disputes are resolved. The daily cleanup applies these periods from that recorded date. Restored data is checked against the same retention rules before ordinary use resumes.
Where information is held
The Quest entry service uses the existing Eden hosting account, which Crazy Domains lists as located in Australia. Access and recovery use the Foundation’s existing restricted operating process. Prize entry is separate from the homepage VIP newsletter service.
