The experience
Jean Galbraith Flora Reserve honours the Tyers-born botanist, writer and conservationist whose work helped generations recognise the richness of Australian native plants. Its leisurely path offers a close, quiet encounter with local flora rather than a test of distance or speed.
The reserve is found at the corner of Mt Hope Road and Hall Drive. It works beautifully as a short standalone stop or as part of a wider day exploring Tyers, Wirilda Environment Park and the natural country north of the Latrobe Valley.
