The experience
Tyers Lookout is a roadside viewpoint approximately 2.5 kilometres north of town on the Tyers–Walhalla Road. The panorama reaches across the Latrobe Valley towards the Strzelecki Ranges, making it an easy scenic pause on the journey north.
Interpretive information helps locate the surrounding landscape, while a table and seat invite visitors to stay with the view. Tyers Lookout is distinct from Petersons Lookout: this stop faces across the valley, while Petersons looks into the rugged Tyers River Gorge.
