The Butter Factory

About

Right in the heart of Traralgon's CBD, The Butter Factory is a welcoming pub and bistro with a lot more up its sleeve than a good meal and a cold drink. Housed in a building with roots going back to 1892 — when the site was an actual butter factory — the venue carries a sense of local history alongside its lively, modern atmosphere.

Guests can settle into the comfortable bistro or take a seat in the conservatory to catch some sunshine and watch the streetscape go by. When the mood calls for something more active, there are four lanes of tenpin bowling and a range of arcade games on hand. Reading Cinema sits upstairs for movie fans, and undercover parking downstairs means getting here and staying a while is genuinely easy.

The Butter Factory fills a useful role in Traralgon's dining and leisure scene by bringing together food, drink, entertainment and a cinema all under one roof. It works just as well for a family outing as it does for a relaxed date night, giving locals and visitors a flexible, all-ages destination in the centre of town.

The venue is open seven days a week from 11am to 11pm, so whether you're dropping in for a weekday lunch or making a full evening of it, there's always a reason to pull up a chair.
