One of Australia's most celebrated bands is coming to Gippsland, and the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre is the place to be on 15 August 2026. Boy & Bear bring their Tripping Over Time regional tour to Traralgon for a night of live music that has already captivated thousands across the country.
Boy & Bear rose to prominence with their double-platinum debut album Moonfire, which earned five ARIA Awards and widespread critical recognition. Their subsequent albums Harlequin Dream and Limit of Love both debuted at number one on the ARIA charts, cementing their reputation as one of Australia's most consistent and respected acts. Their latest album, Tripping Over Time, was launched to over 5,500 fans at the Sydney Opera House Steps in December 2025, debuting at number one on the Australian Album Charts.
Audiences can expect to hear songs spanning the band's full catalogue, from the familiar anthems of Moonfire through to the fresh material of Tripping Over Time. The intimate regional theatre setting of GPAC offers a closer, more personal experience than the band's recent stadium and forecourt shows, giving Gippsland fans a rare opportunity to see this act up close.
Bringing a nationally acclaimed tour to Latrobe City signals the growing profile of the region as a destination for quality live arts and entertainment. Events like this strengthen the cultural life of the community and give local audiences access to performances that might otherwise require travel to major cities.
The show starts at 7pm on Saturday 15 August 2026 at the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre, 32 Kay Street, Traralgon. Tickets are available through the GPAC website, or you can call the box office on (03) 5176 3333 for more information.
