Some comedians make you laugh. Blake Pavey makes you laugh, catch your breath, and laugh again harder. His new show arrives at the GPAC Little Theatre on 31 July 2026 for two sessions in one night.
After amassing over a million followers online and touring his comedy to audiences around the world, Pavey returns to the stage with 'A Bit Scared' — a brand new hour of stand-up built around a very personal premise. Having discovered his terminal illness is no longer as terminal as expected, he finds himself with considerably more time on his hands and, it turns out, a very long list of things to be afraid of.
Expect an evening that moves between warmth and darkness, raw honesty and perfectly timed punchlines. The Age described his stand-up as delicately weaving elements of darkness and light, bringing audiences to the brink of tears before landing a punchline that leaves them in stitches. Two sessions — 6.30pm and 9pm — mean you can choose your night on your own terms.
Live comedy at the GPAC Little Theatre is exactly the kind of event that reminds Latrobe City audiences they do not need to travel to Melbourne for world-class performance. Gippsland Performing Arts Centre continues to bring nationally recognised talent directly to Traralgon, strengthening the region's cultural life and giving local communities access to artists at the top of their game.
Both sessions run on Friday 31 July 2026 at the GPAC Little Theatre, Grey Street, Traralgon. Tickets are available through the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre. Call the box office on (03) 5176 3333 or book online via the link on this page.
