Gathered Threads: Lyrical Practices marks the fifth anniversary of this evolving exhibition project, presenting newly commissioned works from nine textile-based artists drawn from across Victoria. Staged in Gallery 3, the exhibition builds on a tradition of foregrounding the rigour, skill, and cultural depth embedded in working with fabric — an artform historically dismissed as domestic yet foundational to material knowledge and communal memory.
