About
A century of service, sacrifice, and community spirit comes to life on the streets of Traralgon as the RSL marks its 100th anniversary with a landmark Centennial Parade. This is a moment to stand proud and witness history moving right through the heart of the city.
Founded in 1926, the Traralgon RSL has spent one hundred years supporting veterans and their families across the Latrobe Valley. To mark this extraordinary milestone, the organisation is hosting a Centennial Parade through Traralgon CBD on Sunday 30 August 2026, followed by a solemn Memorial Service at the Cenotaph.
The parade steps off at 10:30am, winding through the Traralgon CBD before culminating in a Memorial Service at the Cenotaph commencing at 11:00am. Visitors can expect marching servicemen and women, community groups, and a stirring ceremony that honours those who gave so much for this country.
This centennial is a rare and significant occasion for Latrobe City — a once-in-a-generation opportunity to publicly recognise the enduring contribution of returned servicemen and women to the social fabric of the region. Community attendance makes these moments deeply meaningful.
Mark Sunday 30 August 2026 in your calendar, gather your family, and line the streets of Traralgon CBD from 10:30am to be part of this historic commemoration. For more information, contact the Traralgon RSL directly.
