Bluey and Bingo are leaping off the screen and onto the stage at the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre, brought to life through spectacular puppetry and original music. This is Bluey as you have never seen it before — and it is happening right here in Traralgon.
Bluey's Big Play is a theatrical adaptation of the Emmy award-winning children's television series, created by Bluey creator Joe Brumm and featuring new music by series composer Joff Bush. Presented by BBC Studios and Andrew Kay in association with Windmill Theatre Co, the show has already captivated audiences at New York's Madison Square Garden and London's Royal Festival Hall before returning to Australia for this encore tour.
In the story, Dad is looking forward to a quiet afternoon on the bean bag — but Bluey and Bingo have very different plans. Families will watch the Heeler gang pull out every game and clever trick they know, all performed through brilliantly crafted puppets in a production that has earned five-star reviews and delighted children and parents alike around the world.
Bringing a world-class children's theatre event of this scale to Latrobe City is a genuine occasion for the region. The Gippsland Performing Arts Centre gives local families access to the kind of live cultural experience that has sold out major international venues, without the need to travel to a capital city.
Performances run on Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 July 2026, with sessions at 9:30am and 12:30pm each day. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Thursday 12 February 2026. Book through the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre or call (03) 5176 3333 for more information.
