About
Art reveals itself differently when someone who knows it well is standing beside you. Every first Saturday of the month, Latrobe Regional Gallery opens its doors to a guided experience that transforms a casual visit into something genuinely illuminating.
Running from July through to December 2026, these monthly tours are hosted by knowledgeable gallery guides who bring current exhibitions to life. The tours are a recurring program offered by Latrobe Regional Gallery, one of regional Victoria's most respected public art spaces, dedicated to making art accessible and meaningful for every visitor.
Over the course of one hour, guides lead small groups through the gallery's current exhibitions, pausing at significant works to share the stories, context and craft behind them. Visitors leave with a richer understanding of what they have seen and a perspective they could not have found wandering alone.
Programs like this play an important role in building cultural engagement across Latrobe City. By offering free, expert-led access to art, the gallery strengthens community connection to creativity and supports a vibrant regional arts culture that residents and visitors can be proud of.
Tours run at 11am on the first Saturday of each month and are free to attend. Bookings are preferred, so register your interest by calling (03) 5128 5700 or emailing [email protected]. Latrobe Regional Gallery is located at 138 Commercial Road, Morwell.
