Strzelecki Showtime: O'Connor Farm

About

One hundred years of love, loss and life on the land unfold across a single family home in this powerful new Australian musical. O'Connor Farm is a story that will resonate with anyone who has ever felt the pull of place and the weight of family legacy.

Strzelecki Showtime is a beloved local institution now in its 58th year, produced entirely by Scouts from the Strzelecki district. Each annual production features an original script and original music, and this year's show — O'Connor Farm: 100 Years. 5 Generations. 1 Home — is no exception, with local young people taking the stage to tell a story rooted in the rhythms and realities of rural Australia.

Audiences will follow five generations of the O'Connor family as they celebrate, grieve, work and endure within the walls of the same home. Expect warmth, humour, and genuinely moving moments as original songs and storytelling carry you through a century of change on the land.

Productions like this one sit at the heart of what makes Latrobe City's community life so distinctive. Strzelecki Showtime gives young people real creative ownership over a major performance, building skills, confidence and connection while honouring the region's deep ties to rural life and local history.
