The boots are on, the music is up, and the dance floor is calling. Morwell's Kickin' for a Cause is a full-day line dancing fundraiser where community spirit and a shared purpose take centre stage.
Organised by Teresa Forbes and supported by guest instructors Haylie and her Bunnies from Buckle Bunny Line Dancing and Amy from Gilly's Line Dancing in Queensland, the event brings experienced and beloved teachers from across the country to the Latrobe Valley. All funds raised go directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation to support vital cancer research.
Guests can expect tutorials led by visiting instructors, open dance sessions for all levels, raffles, live music, and plenty of community warmth throughout the day. Whether you are stepping onto a dance floor for the first time or you have been line dancing for years, the day is designed to welcome everyone and keep the energy high from start to finish. Pink attire and cowboy hats are encouraged.
Events like this demonstrate the generosity and connectedness that define communities across Latrobe City. By gathering around a shared cause, residents and visitors alike contribute something meaningful beyond the dance floor, with every ticket purchase directly funding breast cancer research.
Kickin' for a Cause runs from 11am to 5pm on Saturday 13 September 2026 at the Morwell Bowling Club, 52 Hazelwood Road, Morwell. Tickets are $30 per person and are available through TryBooking. For enquiries, contact Teresa Forbes at [email protected] or on 0432 535 729.
