Father's Day Car & Bike Show

About

Gleaming bonnets, rumbling engines, and the smell of a sizzling breakfast greet visitors at Old Gippstown every Father's Day. It is one of Gippsland's most popular celebrations of automotive heritage.

The Father's Day Car and Bike Show is an annual community event held at Old Gippstown, Moe's living heritage park set along the banks of Lake Narracan. Owners and enthusiasts are invited to register their vehicles and compete across multiple categories, from vintage classics through to custom builds and modern machines.

Entrants pay just ten dollars for early bird registration and can enter as many categories as they choose, with trophies on offer for each class and the highly sought-after People's Choice award voted on by the public. Gates open at 7:30am for registered exhibitors, and there is dedicated long-vehicle parking available for trailer towing. Visitors can enjoy a hearty Lions Club BBQ breakfast, grab a coffee from the on-site van, or settle in at the park cafe once it opens at 10am.

Events like this one strengthen community bonds and shine a light on the rich automotive culture that runs deep across Latrobe City and the wider Gippsland region. The show draws families, restorers, and enthusiasts together in a relaxed outdoor setting that celebrates craftsmanship and shared passion on a meaningful occasion.

Public entry runs from 9am to 12:30pm on Sunday 6 September 2026 at Old Gippstown, 211 Lloyd Street, Moe. For more information or to register your vehicle, visit the Old Gippstown Facebook page or call (03) 5127 3082 during business hours.
