Wirilda Track to Moondarra Dam

The experience
From Wirilda Environment Park, the formed track heads into rugged country associated with Tyers Park and the Moondarra water catchment. At about 12.5 kilometres one way, this is a substantial walk rather than a casual circuit, with steep sections and a remote character that sets it apart from Latrobe City’s urban paths.
Plan the return or a vehicle transfer before setting out, carry sufficient water and food, and wear footwear suited to a long bush track. Weather, fire and park-management conditions can affect access, so check current Parks Victoria advice on the day of the walk.
