Stringybark Ridge Track
Climb from the cool gullies of Morwell National Park into open ridge forest and a walk with a wilder, more energetic rhythm.
The experience
Stringybark Ridge Track leaves from Kerry Road Picnic Area and rises through changing forest. Drier stringybark country replaces the sheltered gully vegetation as the route gains height, giving walkers a clear sense of the park’s variety within a relatively compact area.
The track can be walked as its own outing or linked with Fosters Gully Nature Walk for a longer circuit. Prepare for steeper sections, watch the trail markers where management tracks intersect, and check current Parks Victoria conditions before visiting. Dogs and other pets are not permitted.
