The experience

Fosters Gully Nature Walk begins at Kerry Road Picnic Area and settles quickly beneath grey gum and stringybark forest. The 2.3 kilometre circuit is long enough for the bush to take over the senses, while remaining an approachable introduction to one of Latrobe City’s most distinctive natural places.

Allow about an hour and expect a Grade 3 track with uneven ground and natural slopes. The sheltered habitat is known for lyrebirds, smaller forest birds, native orchids and the possibility of seeing a koala overhead. National park rules apply, including no dogs or other pets.
