Every month, stamp enthusiasts from across the Latrobe Valley come together in the welcoming boardroom of the Morwell RSL to share their collections, swap stories, and celebrate one of the world's most accessible hobbies.

The Latrobe Valley Philatelic Society meets on the last Wednesday of each month from 1:30pm to 3:30pm, taking a break only in December. The society is open to collectors of all experience levels, whether you are just starting out or have been collecting for decades.

Attendees can expect a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where members examine and discuss their stamp collections, exchange knowledge about philatelic history, and enjoy the company of like-minded enthusiasts. Stamp collecting is inclusive, affordable, and requires no special equipment — just curiosity and an appreciation for detail.

Hobbies like stamp collecting play a genuine role in community wellbeing, promoting social connectedness and supporting mental health across all age groups — values that align closely with a thriving Latrobe City region.
