Boolarra Community Development Group AGM

About

Democracy is alive and well in Boolarra — and everyone is invited to take part. The Boolarra Community Development Group's Annual General Meeting is your chance to celebrate what the community has achieved over the past year and help decide what comes next.

The Boolarra Community Development Group Inc. is a volunteer committee dedicated to the social, economic, and environmental development of Boolarra and district. True to its mission of empowering the community, the AGM is open to all residents and welcomes new members who share a positive vision for the town.

The evening begins at 7.00 pm with light refreshments and a friendly catch-up, followed by the Chairperson's Report highlighting the year's achievements. The main business is the nomination and election of the 2026–27 committee, with positions open for Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, Correspondence/Assistant Secretary, Grants Co-ordinator, Media, Events, School Liaison, and Youth Liaison — whether you have a little time or a lot, there is a place for you.

Engaging with local governance is one of the most direct ways residents can influence the future of Boolarra. The group provides a genuine voice for the community, supporting projects that promote wellbeing, celebrate shared identity, and encourage sustainable growth across the Latrobe City region.

The AGM takes place on Thursday 20 August 2026, with arrivals from 7.00 pm, at 20 Duke Street, Boolarra (the Old Pub). Please note there will be no general business at this meeting. For those who wish to stay involved beyond the AGM, the group holds regular community meetings on the third Thursday of every month at 7.00 pm at the Multi Purpose Building, Boolarra.
