Santa is coming to Gippsland, and he needs your help. For 25 years this beloved annual tradition has brought the magic of Christmas to families right across the region, and this year is no different.
Organised by local identity Brian Farrugia, the 25th Annual Gippsland Santa Run is a volunteer-powered Christmas event that travels across the Gippsland area distributing lollies and toys to kids. The milestone anniversary makes this year's run particularly special, celebrating a quarter-century of festive community spirit.
Volunteers will join a fun-filled day alongside special guests including Santa, Elmo, Cookie Monster, and more, spreading holiday cheer and handing out gifts to children. Food, drinks, and coffee are provided on the day, covered by a $30 contribution from each volunteer. A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required to participate.
Events like the Santa Run are the heartbeat of community life in Gippsland, bringing generations of families together and reminding locals that the region looks after its own. Reaching its 25th year is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the dedication of its volunteer team.
